Live for what you love

  • Got confused with the title?, don’t be, I am anyway, going to elaborate it in a very simpler way. Veda, the science, Ayu, the life itself combining , ” The Science of Life”. Yes its Ayurveda, the word which runs through my blood since years, though it was not wide in practice commonly, including by me, it was always there back in my memory that, I should give a shot to this practice. Because the first memory of this practice is when my Doddamma ( mom’s bsister) used to refer her home remedies books to treat me whenever I got ill, she never allowed us to take English medicines at the first place.

And another added information was my Ajja (mom’s dad) used to go to find herbs to treat diseases in cattle and the whole village was dependent on his treatment as it was working beautifully. And he used to read all the 18 Maha Puranas to the whole village and the whole village had to sit and listen. So may be some of his genes are in my gene pool to trigger my brain to go deep in to all these ancient knowledge, thanks to him for the legacy he left behind.

My dad was a great believer of this ayurveda system, Yoga, meditation, and Pranic healing and even he used to practice all of these, my job was just sitting and processing all these practices, whether they really work ?? my brain’s backburner was storing and processing and finding resources and reading them to understand the mechanics of 3000 year old science in fact “the real science”.

I heard people say “I go for alternative medicine”, really?? yes, people think allopathy/ English medicine what we say, is the main stream medicine till today since generations, including me until I started tasting the essence of their so called alternative medicinal practices such as Yoga, meditation, Healing techniques and yeah Ayurveda ๐Ÿ˜Š. So people, its not alternative, this is the main and the basic science which had emerged since the big bang incident happened I mean, when the creator, created the creation ๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ˜‡. Will definitely give you the proof for our ancient and authentic medicine and how it works on each body in my next post.

Why I am saying its the first ever medicinal practice on the earth is, because you can see the large quantities of Ayurvedic texts in major collections of British Library. Thousands of original rare Sanskrit medical manuscripts were systematically collected, purchased, or seized by British. Any idea why they have still restoring and referring our ancient scripts?, very obvious reason that they didn’t know the basics of medicines.

The surprising fact is, during 1600BC when British arrive in India they got to know about the plastic surgery which was written in “Sushruth Samhitha” and learnt the techniques of the surgery and of course they had taken back to their country and implemented it, from then, the modern medicine had begun its journey back to India to spoil India’s health in a very significant way, which you can witness till today. They tried to erase the concept of Ayurveda and by saying that all these techniques invented by westerns and no doubt the Sushrutha is a Father of Surgery and now world had accepted it and it has to. Bharathiya, you shoud be proud of yourself for taking a birth on this land, and I call it “The Land of Miracles” with immense pride and happiness.

I tried to give an overview and I want you to dig for more information about our ancient manuscripts. You can find them in Libraries, in Google, do as many researches to gain our knowledge back. Remember our brain, our genes still have memories of our each birth in the backburner, that cant be erased by any invaders, just as Afghans and British did, keep that in mind and start digging. Let’s save our culture. ๐Ÿ™

  • Hobbies are life’s real breath as I recently found the meaning of it in a very profound way. Write to take your thoughts out of your amazing creative brain, sing and dance to activate your cerebellum, read and write to activate all the lobes of your brain.

I am not here to stress about these mechanical benefits, I am here to tell you the soulful experiences we feel all the time we listen to our inner child who wants to play, sing, dance and write creatively, making new friends, run after what it wants.

There are only very few people who listen to that inner child, and follow their passion very early in their life and the other side the vast range of people like me who couldn’t take a strong single decision for the future and wasted all the time only running after degrees and academics leaving behind all the desires in the corner of the heart, only we get to realise when those desires start to tickle us from that corner !!.

My dad used to tease me all the time that “putta you never completed anything in your life”, because I chose traditional education over all my hobby classes by abandoning them in the halfway. Went for Dance class left it, went for singing class left it and I did hurt my supportive dad. Only goal was to get the degree and work for the salary which also dint happen while I got married before I even receive the paycheck. Then I realized how important to listen to your heart’s desires and you know what? purpose of our life is always our passion, realizing it now in my 30s… almost touching my mid-age.

But age doesn’t matter when you have that fire of passion still burning inside you, and you know what the universe always brings and connects every dots in your life, it is you to recognize and carry forward, for that you need to listen to your inner tune !!. I call it an intuition, people call it calling!. Yes i just received a call from my innermost voice and you know what I took up it and joined my new dance class.

All these years I was looking for a best choreographer I think !, because I wandered the whole city to look for the best one and one day a person with a purpose and passion arrived with the best project and its clicked that’s why they say teacher arrives when the student is ready!

Dance doesn’t only keep you fit physically but it activates you psychologically by improving cognitive health almost equal to any other physical exercise. Since the beginning of human history dance served as a profound expression of human emotions, culture and social connection, releasing stress hormones and increasing happy dopamine hand in hand.

So what are you all waiting for? go to the corner of your heart, search for your artistic hobbies which are still brewing and yet to be filtered and nurtured. Take them out and show them the way and never stop.

    LIVE YOUR PASSION !

  • Release every untold feelings ,

    Release your ego,

    Release grudges over unloving,

Release your fear of getting judged,

Release every aspects which holds you back,

    Release every untold feelings,

let everything go with the flow,

That’s the only way to glow and grow.

  • Is it raining outside? still not yet started at your place? of-course it will soon, as it is season of rainโ˜บ. Everyone of us have one little craving in this season, one likes to have fries, one likes to have hot soup, one likes to have cold ice-cream, yes you heard me right, there is hot ice-cream in the market too. There are lot more people who likes to have Coffee and Tea!, I am one of them.

Holding a warm cuppa with the aroma of Ginger and Cardamom, inhaling it in a cozy couch with the running TV or with a fictional book or watching a rain outside, and thinking of the leaves which have got infused in your cup are really got picked up from the remote hills or what if they have picked up from the heaven !, because each sip of it gets you there every time !

My bonding with tea and different types of cups is never ending story , started a way long back, since then, whenever I see at Ceramic cups in the shops, I go back to those days and my heart doesn’t hold itself to touch it hold it and finally takes it to the billing counter and whenever it sees new way of making tea in the YouTube it quickly runs to the kitchen๐Ÿ˜€ !.

It even didn’t hesitate to taste 12 cups of tea in Bali ! sipping different flavors of tea and coffee while enjoying the rice fields around, exactly on a rainy day and same memory takes me to our Ooty hills where sipping a spicy tea with different flavors with my family !, and its exactly on a rainy day. As the quote says “When you want something, the whole universe conspires to make it happen” ! Yes Universe knows my taste, knows my happy place๐Ÿ˜‰.

Got confused with my title of the post and the story doesn’t match? hold on I will come to the reality. We all know loving too much can be dangerous too, it was unstoppable love between me n the Tea. Suddenly, one day my body couldn’t take it anymore, stomach got bloated, head started aching, reality did hit me so hard, was on medication for a month to get my metabolism back, so Doc told the culprit was my everlasting partner TEA and with so much of hurt and sad I had to quit it. And realized its not my cup of tea, you know how ones heart doesn’t want to be alone for long time. Its raining outside again, my heart feels to have one again so I shifted to Coffee๐Ÿ˜.

This time I will definitely not gonna make same old mistake, I don’t want to lose my partner again, will keep some boundaries in my new Love-Ship!๐Ÿคฉ. Okay guys go and make some coffee for yourself, I need to make one for me and my Love and will come with my new story by next Sunday ! See you then.๐Ÿ™‹โ€โ™€๏ธ

  • Earliest memory with my Appa was so intense and still have it in my eyes. That was the day when my amma and my akka (cousine sister) left the home in hurry and I was not having a single clue why they left me in the neighbor’s house, but I was crying because they didn’t take me with them. Though I have got the best company in their home, still was waiting for my amma to be back. It was in early 90’s, I think I was in second standard and it was so early for me to understand what was going around me.

Before I could collect all my guessing thoughts, I was taken to the hospital, in front of the Intensive Care Unit, where friends and relatives of my parents standing and looking at me pettily and I still wasn’t having any clue but, this time it was different , yes it was fear in my heart, beating so heavily and suddenly amma took me to the room where my Appaji lying on the bed with all the possible hospital attachments, as he got his first heart attack and I just got terrified seeing him but he was vulnerable and still smiled at me, calling “puttu come sit here”.

I still remember every bit of the emotions I felt on that day because I have experienced them at very first time. Suddenly my eyes got wet and they were about to get burst, but I still don’t know how I controlled, as it was so early for me to process the thoughts. You know I smiled at him and sat there just for minutes and ran out of the room seeing him getting emotional. That was the first time my playful heart has started to observe the world around me in a very different way, that was the first time I felt so much attachment towards my appa and that day onwards started caring him, observing him, without my knowledge. I still thank, God Shiva to send my Appaji back home from that difficult situation and no doubt he blessed me a world’s greatest person as a Dad, no doubt my Dad was a great believer of God Shiva.

Presently he is no more but he had left me so many more lifetime memories to cherish, because he was not only my Father but he effortlessly showed me that a father can be a great friend too. He used to take me for evening walks with his friends, those were brainstorming hours for me, the teacher in him never stopped teaching me about life’s challenges to English vocabulary. He was my everything, loving appa, a strict teacher, and more of a friend while playing all the possible mischiefs. His outgoing attitude made me to show my all the emotions in front of him without any hesitation.

He would be with me every time I shop till I get married , he knew ,what color suites me and I had to give one pared every time I wear new dresses. And I miss all these greatly. He even taught me how to cook, we both used to be in the kitchen the moment my mom leave us alone !. I still cant forget those days where he used to teach me cycling, outdoor games like badminton and my mom’s screams for lunch break while playing card Though I am a mother, I still want to be a little one for him and experience all those once again, I know I cant but trying to be like him to my little one.

He taught me how to face the negativities of the world, he taught me to be tough from the outside and being tender from the inside but these days I don’t know how to be, I am confused with my emotions with his absence.

Many of you still cherishing with your dads and I wish your Dad a many more years to celebrate with you. Fathers day for me is everyday celebration as my Appa is even more close to me than before.

  • A day in a beach

Which part of the year is in your favorite list? Summer? Winter? Rainy? or Autumn? Being an Indian I am experiencing all the weathers in extremities!! these days and its not new to you too, but still I like summer days. What about your childhood days experiences ? mostly enjoyable isn’t it? if you are a 80s kid like me you will get it right away. Most of my childhood spent at my Doddamma’s place who is my mom’s elder sister, specially in summer holidays. We would go to farms, almost everyday, eat farm picked vegetables, fruits, tender coconut and would dip ourselves in fresh water in a pond and eat there and come back, what a heavenly days those were, hope you too had the similar experiences.

Today I am a mother of 6 year old and thriving to give him a similar childhood experiences just like we had, you know its bit difficult in urban areas but being an wife of an agriculturist I still have that opportunity to send my kid to farm every weekend, I will cover that story in another post.

Why I told you all the tits and bits of the childhood stories is to tell you our recent summer vacation to a beautiful place Honnavara with my whole family and kids. Honnavra is a port town in our coastal Karnataka, India, about 28 miles south of Kumta.

It was in last mid of May 2023, almost all members of my in-law family were gathered in that summer vacation and we were so eager to have a break from all the routine and just have fun together. But the men of our house not interested in it so, we ”the women” planned for one day outing to a beach.

Eco beach, near Honnavara is the cleanest beach I ever visited. Water was very much clear, beach was totally trash-free, and crowd was so less, as we entered that beautiful terrain way earlier, around 9am. Tides were really active, swimmers can enjoy a lot, if you are taking children then be cautious, be with them all the time. Authorities have maintained it very well with clean and open shower area where you can wash off the sand with cloths on and can change in the changing rooms, staffs were constantly working to keep the area clean. If you have elders then you can hire a sit-outs there on the beach so that they can lay down there when they get tiered. Even they have children park too, ticket cost 10 rupee per head. Your vehicles can also have a nice space to rest but with a cost of rupees 40, you need to pay for toilets too so keep some change in your wallets !!.

It was 4.30am when our TT had arrived, we were 10 members including kids, we were all ready and packed our bags a day before, including snacks, fruits, cucumber slices, raw mangos with salt and chilli powder! to beat the heat and chocolates for our little ones who are the center of the trip. Journey was so much fun as we the woman have taken the responsibility of the trip. Yes going out of our zone is much more fun you know !, it gives you some liberation.

I must tell you, all our little buns have enjoyed every bit of it, specially my little one didn’t waste a minute to make memories for his lifetime, he literally slept on the shore where waves come and hit, he just started to feel the healing effects by immersing himself in the sea. He grabbed every bit of the sand grain on the beach, and it took whole day to clean everyone’s cloth back at home, that’s part of it .I just did let him to make memories for life time with his cousins. 3 hours of dipping in the sea water is nothing but a heaven!

It was 3pm when we had our lunch after visiting some places on the way, food was okay, but we had some snacks left in the TT to accompany us for the rest of our journey. Reached Shivamogga by 11pm where my husband and my father in law were waiting with dinner ready, which is the best part of that day !.

So how you felt about our girls outing with kids ? will be waiting for your comments down here, and you wait for me, will surely come up with an interesting topic. Until then, C u ….!

    • Can keep the yeast in milk for few more minutes to activate it.
    • You can add more milk to dough while mixing, if needed. Make it a chapati like dough, but not too soft.
    • You can add garlic generously if you like garlic taste.
    • Can bake further up to 10 minutes till the surface of the bread looks golden brown as in the pic above.
    • I added chopped methi ( fenugreek ) in butter garlic mixture instead of coriander just for a twist, it came out delicious. This is because of my love towards methi.๐Ÿ˜‹
    • Have patience and follow the ingredients, which is the main key while baking.
    • Have it and enjoy it and don’t forget to comment down here for further queries and opinions.

  • 2 years back a little new star fell down on our hands, that was glowing in a moment and crying in another, stretching in a moment and sleeping in another. All the time it was trying to adjust to the new us, to new surroundings, and to new itself, yes of course it should, as it was from the heaven.

Tiny, softy, flowery creature was getting used to kisses, hugs and cuddles. Its eyes were trying to figure out what and who were all around it, its ears are trying to respond to soft lullabies, its little tummy was always in eager to fill itself and wanted glow again and again.

Hmm yes it was him my little bunny who’s little hands were struggling to stretch and hold the things for months are now helping his mum to clean, fold the cloths, hugs, wipes tears when she cries. Those little feet which were struggling to take a step are now running, jumping and dancing to the tune of his mum. That little mouth which was only opening when in hungry and to cry, now opens only to talk, talk and talk. Those little eyes which were rarely opening in early days are now open so early in the morning!! and give us extra and brand new shocks each and every day.

Our fairy tale little star has become a big one finishing its 2nd year on this earth and loves his dad more than mum, gets jealous when mum n dad sit together lol. That star has become monster now, this monster knows only screaming, saying no to everything, eating everyone’s head, making house a garbage in seconds.
Aghh it may take pages if I want to brag everything ๐Ÿ˜ฌ. Its his 2nd birthday today can’t imagine how days have gone because he hasn’t given me a second to sit and imagine๐Ÿ˜.

This 2 year old amazing boy is a whole package of amusement park, who is giving us extra fun and excitement each day. And I wish to feel all these in the rest of my life, hence wishing him whole lot of love, health and wealth๐Ÿ’• with our blessings on his special day. ๐Ÿ™Œ
Wish him with your love and blessings.๐Ÿค—
    Thank you !๐Ÿค—
